About My Clients
The pressure to figure out who we are and to find a partner in early adulthood can cause feelings of unworthiness to intensify. I specialize in supporting people in their 20s and 30s to heal old wounds that stand in the way of cultivating the connection they crave. I also provide trauma-informed infertility counseling.
My Background and Approach
My approach is collaborative, integrative and holistic. I draw from different types of therapy based on your needs. I am grounded in relational psychodynamic therapy and trauma healing approaches of EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and parts work. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a vehicle for healing and change. My training was as a clinical social worker. I have experience as a therapist in a program for adults with intellectual disabilities, a counseling center for survivors of domestic violence, and on a research study for mothers with PTSD. I have worked with people struggling with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, substance misuse, and relationship challenges. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a strategist, fundraiser, and program coordinator in various organizations dedicated to fighting social inequality.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that bearing witness to someone's story is a privilege, and aspire to always stay humble and curious about the person sitting across from me. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, and strive to be culturally humble when working across difference. I incorporate an awareness of the impact of systems of oppression into my work. I also believe that good quality therapy should be accessible to all - while at the same time, therapists need to earn a living wage. I reserve several sliding scale spots in my practice.
