About My Clients

I am a life traveler on life's journey. I have been walking life's journey for many years and have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience to help others on their journey. I am a father and grandpa and helped hundreds with their marriage and family relationships. I have been active in helping many with addiction issues. I look forward to helping you. We work with those struggling with Depression, Anxiety, Addiction, Grief and Loss, or hundreds of other mental health issues.

My Background and Approach

I have been around for many years and have helped thousands of individuals. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Nationally Certifed Counselor, and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor. Additionally, I am a Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, and Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Provider. Yet, I am just a fellow traveler on Life's journey who has many years of education and experience to help show you the way. I often work with my wife, Dawn, to help families and those struggling with their marriage or relationship. Sometimes couples prefer to talk with another couple. Dawn also helps with therapeutic support so you can get support during the week and between sessions. Please check out our website for more information.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

We approach the counseling relationship from a wellness perspective. This is a process that involves your body, mind, and spirit. We help you look at the physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual components that make up who you are. We focus on the integration of the whole person and consider an individual’s strengths and weaknesses as we assist in moving you toward your goals. We avoid using labels and do not look to psychopathologize everyone. Labels have often been used to try and help but they often do more harm than good. We are not looking to make people victims; rather, we want you to not only be a survivor, but a driver to accomplish your goals. We attempt to normalize behaviors within the human condition, rather than to diagnose as a disorder or disease.
