About My Clients
Clients can expect my genuine and honest approach. They will experience a judgment-free environment where they feel safe discussing any concerns. They will leave sessions with a better understanding of their symptoms and the knowledge that positive change is possible.
My Background and Approach
I completed my masters in school social work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I practiced as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker in MA for 13 years prior to relocating to Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2019. I have worked in homes, communities, schools, hospitals, psychiatric units, and outpatient offices with ages 0 to 99. I meet clients where they are, providing education on evidence-based strategies to address symptoms and achieve goals. Utilizing motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, and cognitive behavioral approaches, I help clients gain skills and perspective to alleviate symptoms. I empower clients to make difficult decisions and take bold steps they may not have taken before.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My most rewarding work has been with families and individuals experiencing crises. Families are foundational to our identity and values, serving as sources of both security and trauma. I believe family extends beyond blood relations to encompass those we choose to embrace. I've seen firsthand how supportive family structures, regardless of blood ties, enable individuals to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Working with people in crisis has allowed me to meet diverse individuals, provide support during their darkest moments, and offer hope. I am proud to advocate for the services and treatment they need and feel honored that they have trusted me with their stories. My passion for helping, advocating for, and empowering others fuels my work every day.
