Narrative Therapy is my foundational approach and philosophical lens. Everyone has a story and most enjoy reliving them. Some stories become harmful and take over our emotional peace. Using this approach allows us to view the stories you bring into therapy and carefully deconstruct it. It makes for a rich conversation and fosters a sound healing process.

EFT has its roots on Attachment Theory which is a significant part of my psychological lens. It makes sense that human beings need and yearn for a secure attachment in their relationships. EFT allows us to tap into that vulnerability we all have and hold up a mirror to show how it truly affects us. One of my favorite approaches to use with couples.

Not many people know that therapy can be used as a "maintenance tool" to build and sustain strong relationships.​ There are times when we clearly know we should "go see someone," which often may be when conflict is at its peak. Therapy can also be used to buff out those pesky bumps relationships encounter from time-to-time. In any relationship there are periods where things are not terrible, but they are also not great.

As a systemic therapist, I believe that making a change in one family member leads to changes in the entire family. Family conflict does not have to be the norm. Through family therapy you can learn to identify patterns, agree on changes needing to be made, and co-create new methods of resolving conflict.

Who you marry is one of the most important decisions a person makes. Marriages create the foundation of a beautiful life but without effort or awareness, it can deteriorate and cause the most painful experiences. Marriages need fostering, they need attention and thoughtfulness. In marriage counseling, couples learn to communicate, learn to have healthy conflict, learn to express needs, establish boundaries and expectations, negotiate roles and responsibilities, & prioritize.

“The quality of your relationships determines the quality of your life.” Ether Perel said it perfectly. Every person is in a relationship with other people whether it's a significant one or a common one. If you want a healthy, fulfilling life, start with your relationships. This includes the relationship with yourself! People who benefit from relationship therapy include siblings, parent & adult children, teenagers & parents, couples, friends, in-laws, etc.
