About My Clients
You’re not sure exactly how it happened, but one day you woke up and realized you don’t recognize the face staring back at you in the mirror. You don’t even know who you are, let alone who you were meant to be. From the outside it seems like you’ve got a great life, but on the inside you feel lost and stuck. You’re tired of suffering and you’re ready for a change. You want to be comfortable in your own skin and confident in who you are. You want to live with a sense of purpose and meaning.
My Background and Approach
I received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of Washington. My experience includes over two years working in a community mental health setting where I was able to work with clients from a variety of backgrounds and gain familiarity working with a variety of issues. I have also completed a year-long externship with The Allender Center where I was trained to engage stories of harm and help bring healing to places of brokenness and shame. My therapeutic approach is rooted in relational and interpersonal psychotherapy with a focus on attachment issues, family of origin, and trauma-informed care. I am also trained in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
