About My Clients
I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ clients, especially Black and brown queer folks, navigating trauma, identity, relationships, and life transitions. I create a healing space grounded in cultural humility, affirmation, and empowerment. Whether you’re managing anxiety, seeking clarity, or unpacking complex life experiences, I’m here to walk with you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
My Background and Approach
I bring a rich background in public health, community engagement, and trauma-informed care. I specialize in supporting individuals as they navigate identity, relationships, life transitions, and the healing process after trauma. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I'm dedicated to creating a safe, affirming space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen resilience, and work toward holistic wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Black queer therapist, I’m deeply committed to liberation, healing justice, and community care. I’ve spent over a decade working in public health and social justice spaces, advocating for the well-being of LGBTQ+ communities—especially Black and brown folks. I’m an active member of the House Ballroom Community and co-founded a grassroots organization supporting the mental, physical, and social health of Black LGBTQ+ people. I believe that therapy can be a radical act of resistance and self-love. My practice is rooted in cultural humility, harm reduction, and the belief that everyone deserves access to affirming, compassionate care. I aim to show up as my full self in this work—human, curious, and deeply invested in walking alongside clients as they heal and grow.
