Family systems theory focuses on resolving ones issues in the context of the family. It important that other family members can participate in family sessions if possible.
My counseling philosophy stems from the Cognitive-Behavioral theory. I believe behaviors, thoughts and feelings are influenced by both internal beliefs and external events. Some of them can be problematic or even painful and counseling can help to identify and address them. Change is possible and more effective ways of dealing with emotions, thoughts and behaviors are developed. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy promotes short-term counseling depending on the problem.
