About My Clients
I offer my clients almost a decade of professional experience in individual, couples, and family therapy. Relationship work is my specialty. I help my clients to improve their relationships with themselves or other significant people in their lives. My own long-time marriage, two grown-up children, and many changes in my personal life make me especially understanding and empathetic to the struggles my clients experience.
My Background and Approach
My education in psychology and marriage/family therapy as well as training in evidence based approaches allow me to provide effective, time sensitive counseling and psychotherapy to individuals and families. In our sessions we will: 1. Set achievable therapeutic goals and monitor your progress in future visits. 2. Identify and explore problematic thoughts or troublesome patterns of interaction that may cause difficulty in your everyday life. 3. Explore your strengths and use them as a base to build new skills that will help you to have a more fulfilling life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people do their best with what they have at any given moment. However, sometimes we need some help to do even better. If you came to the point of needing change, I am here to guide you on your journey. Few words about myslef: I have been happily married for 25 years and have 2 grown up sons. In my free time I pursue my other passion; photography. I also spend lots of time outdoors; climbing, hiking, skiing, or just sitting with a cup of coffee and observing the world.
