In a given session with me, you'll laugh (mostly at my dad jokes), cry, unclench your fists, take deep breaths and always walk away lighter.

About My Clients

I love working with Gen-Z and Millennial clients the most! No one hands you a manual on how to win at adulting, so my passion is working primarily with individuals between the ages of 18-35 who are struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and other identity-related crises. My specialty is with college students and recent grads in particular as I have nearly a decade of experience working in higher ed. I enjoy serving children of immigrant parents; I know the struggle personally!

My Background and Approach

I am a tell-it-like-it-is, down-to-Earth, sincere, and goofy therapist that uses the powerful elixir of motivation, optimism, humor, and unconditional acceptance to help my clients navigate to healing, whatever that looks like for them. I use an integrative and collaborative approach that is mostly person-centered, existential and holistically focused, and uniquely tailored to my clients with a multicultural lens in place. In plain English, we work together, side by side with no power dynamic between us to uncover hope and write new chapters in your life using the power of mindfulness, reframing, and an array of tools you can use in and out of session. My background in higher education is diverse from admissions to graduation, but I especially enjoy helping at-risk students get back on track for graduation. My no-nonsense approach is dipped in compassion and humor. To care about my clients means to meet them where they are and hold them accountable for where they want to go!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My life's work revolves around appreciating people for who they are; everything about a person--whether we label it a flaw or not--makes that person special. I celebrate what makes a person unique. As a Haitian-born American, I stand in solidarity with minorities who are having a difficult time adjusting--especially with immigrant parents. I provide a safe space for Black men and women to share their frustrations as it relates to injustices faced on a national and personal level. I am an Ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and want my clients who are exploring their sexuality to feel comfortable being themselves--in all flavors that they come in. I am an Ally in and out of session--I create a safe space for clients and non-clients because it's imperative we stand again ALL injustice. Faith-wise, I am considered more spiritual and welcome clients of all faith walks to share how important their faith is to them or process religious trauma.

I have experience with the following
  • Agnosticism
  • Christianity
  • Multifaith
