About My Clients
I have had almost two decades of experience working with individual adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I have enjoyed my work with people of all genders, sexual orientations, races, and religions. My most successful clients are people who want therapy to be a collaboration in which we are able to remove whatever image/masks we may have to wear in the outside world to do the work of being authentic and creating changes that work for you.
My Background and Approach
I am trained as a Family Systems therapist, which means that I pay attention to the systems in which my clients are embedded including their family systems, communities, work environments, and social networks. I value natural and holistic methods of healing and I use several different approaches in my treatment that include a combination of experiential and cognitive approaches. I believe completely in the integration of mind, body, heart, and spirit healing for true joy to be attained. I often include Clinical Hypnotherapy in my work with clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe strongly in the ideas that all people have equal value, all people deserve respect, and our differences are what make our communities and our world richer. I adamantly oppose prejudice against any group of people and I try to work from a place of compassion and love for all human beings. I also believe that we all need a good strong nudge from time to time when we get stuck. ;)
