About My Clients

Do you have a desire to feel comforted, listened to, heard, and experience healing without judgement? Does it sometimes feel like your trauma is swallowing you whole? I know what that feels like, it can be incredibly isolating. But, you don't have to go through it alone. Working through your feelings can feel scary, but I strive to create a non-judgmental environment where together we can help you find joy again. I offer my services at a sliding scale, please inquire about rates!

My Background and Approach

My priority is to facilitate an empathetic and nonjudgmental space for you. Everyone is different and my open and collaborative style is tailored to meet the needs of each individual that steps into my office. Healing is deeply personal but we don't have to go through it alone. Historically, therapy has been focused on individualism, and I strive to assist in community building and healing for those I work with. The marginalized identities that I live at the intersection of heavily inform my practice, often lived experience is just as important to understanding a client as formal education is. I use a basis of liberation psychology and mindfulness/somatic therapeutic techniques and incorporate other types of therapeutic interventions tailored to your needs. Together we can process trauma, heal relationships, and develop coping skills that will aid you in the present and beyond. My office is open to all and I'm especially thrilled to work with LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and "sexual outsiders".

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

People like me have traditionally been left out of the mental health field and that is why I decided to become a counselor — care from someone who understands you on a deeper level makes it easier to move through your healing journey. I have organized within abolitionist groups, sex worker advocacy, and done years humanitarian aid work. I am committed to uplifting those who society tries to quiet, and offer the resources that they need. I want all of us to live free from oppression, and acknowledge that the system is a contributing factor to our mental health. While we work towards a better future, you have to take care of yourself in the present. I wish to see my clients not only survive, but to thrive and I’m committed to helping you get there. I offer a select amount of sliding scale, please inquire about specifics.
