My Background and Approach
I practice from a Strengths-Based, Person-Centered and Integrative model utilizing CBT to help you achieve your goals. I believe in your ability to access a life full of happiness and fulfillment. You are the expert in your life and it's my job to help you figure out how to perform at your maximum potential! My clients have described me as down to earth, personable and passionate about counseling. In working with me, you'll get professionalism combined with a down to earth approach. I sometimes incorporate humor as therapeutically appropriate and you can rest assured that your comfort, healing and privacy are of the utmost importance to me. Whether it's depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts or self-esteem, I will equip you with the tools needed to thrive, so you can stop just surviving.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has access to the life they desire and that sometimes we are guided to helpers when we can't see our own potential. Our childhood experiences have a major impact on the way we see life as adults and ultimately our current positive or negative behaviors can sometimes be tied back to experiences from childhood or incidents from adulthood. Counseling has been transformative for me personally and it was through my own experience of sitting on the couch that I began to develop a deeper understanding of the inner workings of myself and how I too could "choose" to live a life with intentionality. I want that same experience for the people I'm priviledged to work with and I strive to show up as myself, a human with compassion and love for all.
