About My Clients
I specialize in working with Depression and Anxiety. If you have ever felt these heavy emotions, just know that you aren't alone; and like many others, I am here to help. Through our partnership, we will work from a framework that best suits you as we target the roots, not just the branches. The journey is different for everyone, but regardless of how long it takes, I will be by your side. Never leading you, never racing you, I'm just there with you, supporting you.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from George Mason University with my Bachelors in Clinical Psychology and went on to graduate from the University of Denver with my Masters in Counseling Psychology. I have been in the mental health field for 10 years, working with everyone from Veterans to Elementary School age children. I come from a psycho-dynamic theory of practice, so I will ask "How does that make you feel?". Feelings can be really heavy, and they manifest in all sorts of ways that can be hard to hold all on one's own. I seek to be an ally and am willing to admit whenever I fall short. I like to practice a person centered approach to each individual I have had the pleasure to work with; giving them the autonomy to direct the sessions while I walk alongside them in the journey.
