My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Belmont University in 2019 and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University in 2023. I have worked in a variety of treatment settings and been able to work with many different issues, such as anxiety, panic disorder, depression, grief, trauma, and difficulties with self love and acceptance. I am a Certified Grief Informed Professional and have been trained in Phase 1 of Brainspotting. My approach utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Somatic Mindfulness. As a therapist, I am committed to continuing my training and development, so I can ensure my clients are getting the best possible care. Whether you need help developing new skills, managing high-intensity crises, or need a safe space to process – I see the client-counselor relationship as one of the highest honors I can hold.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
All people have unique life experiences, different paths they have traveled and detours they have made along the way. I believe every story has value and all people deserve to be heard. I know the tremendous courage and vulnerability it takes to ask for help or for someone to listen to you. It is extremely important to me that my clients feel supported and affirmed – therapy is meant to be a safe space to work through the challenges and stressors from the outside world.
