About My Clients
My clients are thoughtful, feeling people who experience the world deeply. Many have spent years tending to everyone else while quietly carrying their own unmet needs, old wounds, and questions about who they are beneath the roles they play. They come to therapy longing to be truly seen, and ready to explore their inner world with honesty and care. If you feel things strongly, sense there is more to your story than you have had room to voice, we will likely work well together.
My Background and Approach
I grew up in a very small village in the remote wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. To escape that isolation and sometimes harsh judgement of anything different or unusual, I came to Oklahoma for college. I learned very quickly what this state carries — the religious weight of it, the way faith and family and identity get braided together in ways that are hard to separate. I also know what it's like to be someone who doesn't fit the dominant story, and to spend years figuring out what's actually yours versus what was handed to you. I specialize in religious trauma because I've seen how rarely people in Oklahoma find a therapist who won't flinch at what they need to say. I specialize in imposter syndrome and perfectionism because I've watched smart, capable people spend their careers convinced they're about to be found out. I work with creatives and performers because I understand what it costs when shame gets tangled up in the work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a secular therapist. That means I don't have a faith perspective I'm working from, and I don't have a stake in where you land on questions of belief. My job is to help you figure out what you actually think, feel, and want — not to guide you toward any particular answer.
