About My Clients
I work with clients all across Oregon to help them heal from abusive relationships, toxic family dynamics, narcissistic parents, partners, bosses, and/or religious groups. I offer therapy focused on self-rebuilding, relationship struggles, developing healthy boundaries, and discovering your healthier way to move forward as your most authentic self. If you're motivated toward change and ready to put in the hard work to create a sustainable path of healing for yourself, we are a good fit.
My Background and Approach
Life isn’t simple. It can be really challenging to navigate, especially on our own. Have you found yourself having trouble coping with the challenges you face? Have traumas, relationships, societal standards, and systems left you with mazes of wounds that are seemingly never-ending? Whether you are new to seeking therapy or are an old friend of the therapeutic process, I am here to help. I am committed to creating the opportunity for you to have a non-judgmental, trauma-informed, inclusive, and affirming space to discover how you will progress through it all. I work through a Client-Centered lens with Internal Family Systems, Attachment Models & weight inclusive perspectives. I believe each client has the innate ability to grow, transform, and heal in the therapeutic process. My work also includes DBT, CBT, Somatic/Mindfulness Therapies. Therapy is a collaborative process, so we will find out what works for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold a Master of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College in Professional Mental Health Counseling, Specialization in Addiction Counseling. I completed coursework in diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders; lifespan development; group counseling; career counseling; diversity & social justice; interventions with adults, children, and adolescents; LGBTQ+ issues in counseling; legal & ethical issues in counseling; motivational interviewing, substance and process addictions; clinical research methods; grief & loss counseling; creative interventions; and trauma treatment. I have experience working with individuals, adolescents, families, and providing group therapy. I also have experience providing career counseling. I am a registered licensed professional counselor associate in the state of Oregon. I am working toward licensure and am under the clinical supervision of Elizabeth Trautwein, LPC LMHC.
