About My Clients
My clients are often children and families who are navigating big emotions, behavioral challenges, or difficult life experiences. Many of the children I work with struggle to express their feelings with words and may show this through behaviors at home or school. They may be experiencing anxiety, trauma, transitions, or challenges with emotional regulation.
My Background and Approach
My background includes earning my Master’s in Counseling from the University of Toledo and working with children in both educational and clinical settings. My experience as a classroom teacher and counselor has given me a strong understanding of children’s developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs across environments. Since entering private practice in 2019, I have continued to focus on supporting children and families in meaningful, lasting ways. My approach to therapy is child-centered, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate. I utilize Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), EMDR, TraumaPlay, and sandtray therapy to meet each child where they are. I believe children communicate through play, and I provide a safe, supportive space where they can express themselves, process experiences, and build emotional regulation skills. I also work collaboratively with caregivers to strengthen understanding, connection, and consistency outside of session.
