About My Clients

For eight years I have had hands-on experience working with individuals, children, couples and families, and have helped my clients deal with the various challenges life brought them. Diversity and inclusion are core beliefs of mine. I feel that every person has value that can be enriched and strengthened.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). I received my M.A. degree in Clinical Psychology from Santa Clara University. I am a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). Most people at some point in their life, deal with emotional and sometimes physical trauma. By employing the power of positivity and by learning how to have faith in ourselves, each one of us can learn techniques and coping skills that will lead to making better choices and having happier days. I will work collaboratively with you on whatever issues you bring to me and will listen fully to what you have to say without judgment. I will be professionally and emotionally invested in our journey together to achieve a brighter future for you, and I can’t wait to begin!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I take a holistic approach to healing and believe that we must look at all aspects of our life: mental, physical and emotional, to create the change(s) we wish to see. Mental health is similar to the process of physical health. When a person is out of shape they go to the gym to obtain better health and quality of life. Getting in shape is a process that takes time, follow-through, determination and dedication. We don’t stop going to the gym when we’ve attained our goal(s). We continue working to maintain what we’ve achieved and possibly set new goals for continued growth. The work of staying healthy and physically fit is a life long process, which mirrors the process of mental health. We usually seek therapy when we are going through or have experienced a challenging life event that has resulted in an impairment to our functioning in one or more domains: work, school, social, and/or family. Working with a therapist can be a great resource for learning new tools to manage our lives.
