About My Clients
I work best with adults navigating grief, whether from the death of a loved one, chronic illness, identity loss, or major life transitions. My ideal clients are seeking a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore their emotions, make meaning of their experience, and reconnect with themselves. I especially enjoy working with those who feel unseen in their grief or are carrying complex emotions like guilt, anger, or relief alongside their loss.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring years of experience working in acute psychiatric settings with individuals facing a wide range of mental health crises, including severe depression, psychosis, and suicidality. This background has equipped me to stay grounded and compassionate in moments of high distress, offering clients a calm, steady presence when they feel most overwhelmed. My training in grief, trauma, and relational therapy allows me to support clients with complex emotional needs, especially those navigating loss, identity shifts, or life transitions. No matter where you are in your healing journey, I meet you with empathy, clinical skill, and deep respect for your lived experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that grief is not something to “get over,” but something to move through with care, honesty, and support. I value creating a therapeutic space that is inclusive, affirming, and centered on your unique story. I'm passionate about mental health advocacy, the intersection of physical illness and emotional wellbeing, and supporting those whose grief is often unrecognized—like caregivers, those facing reproductive loss, or individuals impacted by the justice system. My approach is relational, anti-oppressive, and grounded in the belief that healing happens in connection.
