About My Clients
My areas of focus include counseling for adult ADHD, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, navigating breakups and relationship trauma, phase of life changes, and careers. While I work with many different clients, my specialty is counseling adult men. I aim to reduce the stigma surrounding counseling, and to make treatment of common mental health problems more approachable.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed psychotherapist focused on making counseling approachable. My work blends professionalism, empathy, and practical insight to help clients navigate both personal and professional challenges with confidence and clarity. My career journey took me from hospitality management to corporate construction, where I learned how stress and performance affect well-being. Eventually, I followed my passion for helping others and pursued a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology. Today, I combine evidence-based practice with genuine empathy and humor because therapy should feel like a conversation, not a diagnosis.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be safe, direct, and real. You deserve a space where you can speak honestly without being judged — and where we can also have meaningful, growth-oriented conversations. I don’t believe people are defined by their trauma, diagnosis, or coping patterns. The strategies that once helped you survive may no longer serve you — but they make sense in the context of your story. I believe growth requires both courage and responsibility. Insight is powerful, but lasting change comes from taking ownership and practicing something different — consistently. I believe healthy relationships begin with self-awareness and boundaries. When you understand your patterns, triggers, and values, you gain the ability to respond instead of react. And I believe sustainable change isn’t about quick fixes. It comes from steady, practical work — learning new tools, facing hard truths, and choosing differently in the moments that matter.
