About My Clients
I specialize in neurodiversity, and have worked with toddlers, children, adolescents, and families for over 25 years (although if anyone asks, I'm not a day over 35).
My Background and Approach
From an early age, I was fascinated by childhood development (real meta stuff) and the impact of psychological factors on children's overall well-being. This fascination led me to pursue my undergraduate studies in Psychology at The University of Kansas (KU). After a few years working on the Adolescent Treatment Unit at the Menninger Clinic, I went on to complete my Master's studies in Clinical Psychology and my Doctoral studies in Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychology at KU, which is in some pretty amazing company as part of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science (APCS). My goal is to foster a warm and supportive environment in my practice, where children and parents feel safe, heard, and valued. I utilize perfectly timed dad jokes, as well as eclectic therapeutic modalities, to ensure the most effective and appropriate interventions for my clients.
