About My Clients

I work clients who are having difficulty anxiety, OCD, panic, binge eating, self esteem concerns and trauma.

My Background and Approach

I’m Marjorie, founder and psychotherapist at RAM CIRCLE Counseling & Coaching. Over the years, I have worked and helped clients who struggled with anxiety, OCD, panic, disordered eating, attachment and intergenerational trauma and low self esteem. I collaborate with my clients while they sort through their painful experiences and/or everyday life struggles working to disrupt learned maladaptive patterns and habits. I utilize a social justice lens and storytelling in the therapeutic process. I firmly believe that people are experts of their own lives. My style is relational and humanistic. I’m a trained Brainspotting and EMDR therapist and currently working towards certification. I also utilize Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy in my therapeutic process.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that struggle is part of the human condition and mental health shows up for every person differently. I make a clear distinction between a diagnosis/struggle and the person because there isn't a limit to any one person's capacity. My commitment to mental health intersects with my beliefs on social justice and equality. Every client is treated with courtesy and respect in a safe place where they get to be free spirits. I love helping men and women of color navigate mental health and defy the mental health stigmas often present within certain ethnic groups. Much of the way I practice highlights social disparities and its impact on mental health. I have joined forces with other therapists in our practice to develop a "Reading and Management" #RAM project as a way to incorporate reading into treatment as both a coping strategy and learning opportunity for marginalized groups.
