About My Clients
I work with individuals of all ages who are navigating challenges such as family conflict, co-parenting, school-related concerns, relationship struggles, trauma, life transitions, and military-related stressors. Many clients come to counseling feeling emotionally overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. My goal is to provide a welcoming space where clients can openly process their experiences, gain self-understanding, and feel supported as they move to healing.
My Background and Approach
With a background as a school counselor, I have experience supporting individuals through emotional, behavioral, academic, and relational challenges across different stages of life. I understand how stress, trauma, conflict, and major life transitions can impact overall well-being and daily functioning. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented, with a focus on helping clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and strengths-based approaches to support personal growth, emotional regulation, and healthier coping strategies. I tailor the counseling process to each client’s unique needs while creating a supportive, honest, and encouraging environment where clients feel safe to explore challenges and work toward meaningful change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal and professional experiences have shaped the way I connect with and support others. I have volunteered with JDC groups that support foster children and families, which has deepened my understanding of resilience, trauma, and the importance of stable, supportive relationships. As a single mother of three young children, I understand the challenges of balancing responsibilities, navigating life’s transitions, and creating space for personal growth and healing. Faith also plays an important role in my life and influences the compassion, grace, and hope I strive to bring into my work with clients. I value authenticity, empathy, and meeting people where they are while supporting them in moving toward meaningful change.
