About My Clients
Coming to therapy can be a challenging experience, no matter your particular struggle. I think of therapy as a collaborative process: As the guide, I'll help you through this journey in life to recognize, understand, and overcome challenges that continue to impact you. My aim is to help you create the necessary changes while providing safety and connection in a collaborative relationship. Together, we will navigate you towards living a more meaningful and harmonious life.
My Background and Approach
I received my bachelor’s degree from Drake University in Psychology. I enjoyed Drake University so much, I decided to stay and pursue my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been working within the mental health community since 2015 working with complex trauma, attachment wounds, relationships, anxiety, depression, grief, and more. Coming to therapy can be a challenging experience, no matter your particular struggle. I think of therapy as a collaborative process: together we will be able to work through this journey in life to recognize, understand, and overcome challenges that continue to impact you. My aim is to help you create the necessary changes while providing a safe place to explore these emotions. I want each of my clients to feel heard, valued, and know that they are the specialist within their life. Together, let's collaborate and build a plan to obtain your goals to create a more meaningful and harmonious life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In 2015, I started within the juvenile delinquent system and was involved with treatment with offenders, crime victims, and victims of sex trafficking. I am a Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Trainer trained by Girls Educational & Mentoring Services (GEMS) in New York and from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
