My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns so you can navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. Your comfort and trust are most important to me. I create a safe and nonjudgmental space for my clients to explore and process through self-reflection. Together, we’ll identify what may be getting in the way and develop practical strategies that support meaningful, lasting change. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based approaches, tailoring treatment to your individual needs and goals. We’ll explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while also identifying practical solutions and building on the strengths and resources you already have.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have always had a passion for helping others discover their inner strengths and abilities. I completed my graduate and credentialed training in social work. While completing my graduate degree, I became a volunteer first responder. Being involved in the fire service has been a meaningful part of my life and has given me an appreciation for the challenges first responders experience. I have worked in substance abuse inpatient settings with a focus on mental health concerns. I have also worked with the elderly through inpatient rehabilitation, as well as in children’s outpatient mental health. Working with a diverse clientele has allowed me to enhance my practice and become a well-rounded clinician through collaborative treatment approaches. I believe in creating a safe space for people to freely express themselves and discover their own abilities to heal.
