Mario is a compassionate therapist with a private practice specializing in strength-based approaches, client-centered therapies, empowerment, and insight-oriented therapies. Being a proud ally to the LBGT community, offering linkage to appropriate community-based resources, and culture are all imperative to my practice.
My Background and Approach
As a strength-based therapist, I firmly believe in the innate resilience and capabilities of my clients. Together we can work on identifying unique strengths and resources that can be utilized to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. By identifying and building upon these strengths, we can work collaboratively towards increasing self-efficacy, develop a positive self-image, increase self-esteem, and creating change. Client-centered therapy is at the core of my practice. Creating a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive therapeutic environment is one of my main objectives while in session. Empowerment is a central theme in my work with clients. As a therapist, I believe that individuals have the ability to make meaningful choices, take control of their lives, and create positive change. Tapping into our own inner strengths, developing effective coping strategies, and finding solutions are key to overcoming challenges.

Lastly, insight-oriented therapies are another key aspect of my practice. Collaboratively, we can develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and identify patterns of thinking and behavior. By exploring these insights, clients are better equipped to make meaningful changes and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
