About My Clients
I care deeply about mental health, and I approach it clinically, with a respect for each individual's life experiences. Along with individual and family therapy, I provide supervision to therapists, and mental health education to medical staff. If you have been skeptical, or past therapy hasn't worked, it is probably time to give me a call.
My Background and Approach
I have specialized training in trauma resolution, and an extensive background working with clients who have seignificant trauma histories. I also work with many clients who have high anxiety, obsessions, depression, anger, relationship issues, and self-esteem issues, among other needs. I value people as individuals with unique life experiences. I only ask that my clients come to me with an intention of healing, learning, and working on themselves. I am not here to tell you to get a hobby or write positive affirmations on your mirror (though there is nothing wrong with either of those). My approach involves working alongside my clients in discovering what works best for you, celebrating your successes, and non-judgmentally learning from mistakes. I will help you explore the connections between past experiences and current issues, and support you as you confront your past, other people, or even yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everybody deserves a chance to change and grow for the better, and that you can in fact teach an old dog new tricks. I strongly believe in using evidence-based approaches in my therapy practice, and I have seen the wonders of approaches such as CBT, in helping people create major positive and lasting changes in their lives.
