About My Clients
I help clients navigate identity challenges, cultural adaptation, and life's challenges, empowering them towards personal growth and well-being. I foster a nonjudgmental environment where you can freely express yourself. I believe that everyone has the right to seek help for their mental health, just as we do for our physical health.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in Texas with a Master of Science in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman's University. Counseling personally helped me know who I am and equipped me with valuable tools to navigate life's challenges, and I am passionate about providing the same transformative support to others and combating the stigma associated with seeking help. I use humor and thoughtful questions to navigate emotions and thoughts effectively, prioritizing client comfort. My counseling is culturally sensitive, and I draw on Person-Centered, Humanistic, Existential, Gestalt, Narrative, Emotionally Focused, Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches, trauma therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and recognize that each individual is unique. Every person contributes to the larger, beautiful picture, where differences complement and enrich one another. My own experience navigating multiple cultures enables me to offer empathetic support to those facing challenges related to cultural adaptation and to help overcome difficulties that arise from coming from different cultural backgrounds.
