About My Clients

I help individuals who feel they are blocked, or at an impasse, professionally, creatively, emotionally or in relationships. These blocks can arise from stressful life transitions, anxiety, unexpected or traumatic events, losses such as grief or divorce, as well as internal factors like fear of failure, loss of trust, self-doubt/self-criticism (harsh internal critic), or depression. I work well with people who are curious about themselves and motivated to try new approaches and ways of being.

My Background and Approach

I have been described as warm, authentic and direct, and as a therapist I maintain a supportive, no-nonsense approach with clients. Therapy sessions are lively with feedback, a touch of humor, and an open, engaged curiosity. I have 20 years of experience helping people feel more self-aware, confident and connected to themselves and others.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have worked as a training professor for new therapists and the on-site therapist for students at: CalArts, Harvard, SFAI, Sarah Lawrence. I've helped creative individuals work through blocks and integrate artistic ability into the demands of professional living. Give me a call/text to ask any questions, and to set up a first appointment.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
