After beginning my eastern spiritual journey in 1993, my practice of meditation/yoga from the yogic, Buddhist, and taoist traditions led to a powerful realization of mindfulness. This is through personal experience for 30 years, not just book knowledge. I find that mindfulness is the key to decreasing anxiety in all its forms - worry, fear, panic, nervousness, dread.
I use a tool called the "Yantra" to help provide a framework to increase awareness of all areas of your life - to honor these areas and create balance. It is extremely helpful and inspiring. I coach clients as part of counseling to help increase success and fulfillment in life. Music therapy is my discipline: I obtained my MT-BC in 1987; I obtained my LCAT in 2005. I incorporate elements of music, art, movement, writing, and creative activities into my work. Sometimes just talking is not what a person needs. Sometimes tapping into other parts of the brain uncovers important material to process. Mindfulness is the foundation of the expressive arts and always part of my practice.

Self-compassion is my method: working with yourself exactly the way you are. Acceptance = change. I have years of experience doing this.
