About My Clients

Mariella works with most major psychiatric disorders, life transitions, loss and bereavement, perinatal mental health, divorce, coparenting, blended family challenges, and acculturation/suffering associated with being part of a minority group/stress associated with the state of current events in the world.
My Background and Approach
Mariella is trained on polyvagal-informed practices, energy psychology, emotional freedom techniques, acceptance commitment therapy, mindfulness, meditation, mindful self-compassion, accelerated resolution therapy, and breath work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Mariella has always had a passion for community and also works for a major non-profit community clinic where she contributes to interdisciplinary health care teams. An Afro-Caribbean native of Venezuela, Mariella pronouns are she/her. Mariella received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the Andres Bello Catholic University and her Masters Degree, also in Clinical Psychology, from Dr. Carlos Arvelo University Hospital, both located in Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela. Mariella feels a strong connection with the outdoors, Buddhist psychology, movement practices, community engagement and animals. Mariella is part of a blended multicultural family, mother and step-mother to adult children, dogs and cats.
