About My Clients
You may be navigating substance use, anxiety, painful experiences, life transitions, or patterns that no longer work for you. Perhaps you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or simply know something needs to change. I work with adults seeking practical support as well as a deeper understanding of what may be beneath the surface. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can begin with where you are and what you would like to change.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Clinical Hypnotherapist with more than a decade of experience working with individuals affected by substance use, emotional challenges, trauma, and major life transitions. My approach is integrative and individualized because I don’t believe one method works for everyone. Depending on your needs, our work may include CBT- and DBT-informed skills, motivational interviewing, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, guided imagery, narrative practices, writing, and expressive arts. I also make room for questions of meaning, purpose, values, and spirituality when those are important to you. My goal is to help you understand not only what is happening, but what may be contributing to it. We can develop practical tools for the challenges you’re facing now while also exploring patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. Our work is collaborative, and we adjust the approach as your needs and goals change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are more than the hardest things they have experienced or the choices they have made along the way. I value compassion, curiosity, personal responsibility, and the possibility of change at every stage of life. I believe healing can include many parts of who we are—our relationships, creativity, spirituality, culture, experiences, and the ways we make meaning of our lives. My own spirituality is important to me, and I deeply respect that each person’s beliefs and experiences are their own. You do not need to share my beliefs to work with me. I welcome thoughtful conversations about faith, doubt, purpose, grief, identity, or meaning when they matter to you. Outside of my professional work, I’m a writer and lifelong learner who finds meaning in books, creativity, nature, reflection, and the ordinary moments that make up a life.
