I can work with a client to help them focus on solutions to their issues, rather then dwelling on the pathology of their problems. To feel like there is no answer to their issues can leave people feeling defeated, and cause low motivation to move on in their lives. Solution Focused Bried Therapy can be accomplished in several sessions, and clients can reach some can of resolution to their issues in a timely manner.

Being a person of color, I can be sensitive to other minorities, and other subjugated groups, by being a person who is considered an outsider looking into society. I can empathize with other marginalized groups do to my own shared experiences dealing with the dominant culture.

CBT talks about how beliefs and core attitudes shape how are actions will come. If we have a certain belief about ourselves, then that will lead to certain actions. These beliefs can either cause negative self talk where we have negative thoughts about ourselves running in our heads, or positive self talk where there are positive messages going on in our heads. These messages shape our behaviors.

I feel I can talk about this issue, by being a woman who has tried to get pregnant. I can empathize with what women are going through. Sometimes we have to make hard decisions about whether we want to keep a child, or deal with the unbearable pain of losing a child. I have personally dealt with infertility issues, so can can relate to this topic.

I can relate to this issue, sometimes we over schedule ourselves with endless demands, and we go into overload. This can be with work stress, or family and personal life stress. I can talk with clients about different exercises to do with breathing, and meditation to relieve stress and anxiety.

We can all relate to this issue, trying to be the best worker we can be at the expense of ourselves and our families. Sometimes being the best can be costly. That's why work life balance is so important, and having a self care regiment is so important. We have to learn to put ourselves first in every situation to make sure our best interests are at heart, and that we don't explode or implode.
