About My Clients
I work with individuals dealing with ADHD, depression, anxiety, substance use and emotional challenges. My ideal clients are those who seek to understand and heal from past trauma or are struggling emotionally. As a Haitian-American, I bring cultural sensitivity to my practice and understand the unique challenges that can come with cultural identity. My goal is to empower clients with tools for long-term mental wellness, offering personalized, empathetic care for each individual’s needs.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s in Quality System Management and am a licensed Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). With my diverse background, including my Haitian heritage, I bring a unique perspective to mental health care, especially for those facing cultural challenges. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, and other emotional struggles. My approach is holistic and client-centered, combining evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with medication management when needed. I use a collaborative, compassionate approach to guide clients through their mental health journey, ensuring they feel heard and respected. Having personal insight into the effects of trauma, I am passionate about helping clients overcome past experiences and regain control over their lives. As a mental health professional of Haitian descent, I am deeply committed to promoting cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in the context of trauma and mental health care. I advocate for mental health awareness and work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health treatment within marginalized communities. I am passionate about empowering individuals to take control of their emotional well-being and supporting them through their healing journey. I believe that mental health care should be accessible to all, and I am dedicated to creating an environment of trust, compassion, and respect in my practice. Outside of work, I support initiatives that promote mental wellness, volunteer with mental health awareness programs, and engage in activities that foster personal growth, such as yoga and mindfulness.
