Family is one of the most powerful influences in our lives. Maybe your family showed up. Maybe they didn’t. Maybe they did everything, not enough, or too much. Regardless, family and intergenerational trauma can have lasting effects on self-esteem, daily functioning, and the nervous system. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I’m uniquely trained to walk alongside clients as they explore who they are and what they want.

Trauma doesn’t always come from one clear event. It may stem from a serious accident, work in a high stress environment, medical trauma, childhood abuse or neglect, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, religious trauma, or experiences that left you feeling powerless, unsafe, or deeply misunderstood. I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and stress responses related to past or ongoing experiences.

Spirituality can bring meaning and richness to your life. My background in fundamentalist religion also taught me how faith can be weaponized and used to control and shame. Whether you've experienced something similar within a high-control group and are wanting to find healing or want to redefine what spirituality is for you, my door is open.

Brainspotting is a focused, brain-based therapy designed to help process trauma, emotional pain, and deeply held stress that may not be accessible through talk therapy alone. It works by identifying specific eye positions — called brainspots — that connect to unprocessed experiences stored in the brain and body. By gently holding attention on these spots in a safe therapeutic environment, the nervous system is able to access and resolve what has been stuck.

Sandtray therapy is a gentle, creative, and powerful therapeutic approach that allows clients to express experiences, emotions, and inner worlds that may be difficult to put into words. Using a tray of sand and a wide selection of miniature figures, clients create scenes that represent their thoughts, memories, feelings, or current challenges. These scenes become a visual language through which healing and insight can emerge.

My approach to trauma therapy is gentle, collaborative, and paced to your readiness. Healing does not require reliving painful experiences or sharing details before you feel safe. Instead, therapy begins by building stability, coping skills, and internal resources. From there, we integrate trauma-resolution techniques that are tailored to your unique history, symptoms, and goals.
