Concerns related to anxiety and depression are the most common reasons individuals seek therapy. My practice areas of expertise are in co-dependency recovery, adult survivors of abuse/trauma, problems with relationships or emotional intimacy, acculturation issues and problems related to work dissatisfaction or work related stress.
My Background and Approach
Evidence modalities such as CBT, solution focused therapy, and mindfulness based therapy approaches (MBCT, MBSR, ACT) inform my work, while psychodynamic, humanistic, Socratic and existential philosophy influence my view and practice towards psychotherapy. Raised in Miami, FL I am culturally sensitive towards diverse populations and offer my clients reassuring presence during the process. I am familiar with resources in the Miami community, as well as the value of integrative medicine and other wellness modalities. Therefore when appropriate, I consult and make recommendations to various complementary providers that will also support your emotional health and well-being.
