About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I adore working with parents who are looking for support for themselves and/or for their young kids. I enjoy the energy, challenge, joy of toddlers - tweens. it's not about kids not wanting to do something ..it's most probably that something is getting in the way. Together , we can work on figuring it out. From establishing a family rhythm, to figuring out boundaries and discipline strategies or creative projects and solutions to increasing comfort with emotions and developmental concerns. Family support is also one of my specialties as a social worker. I have always had a passion for connecting with families, and fostering positive relationships among family members. This leaves me with a profound sense of satisfaction knowing that I was able to be a small part of helping support the supporter.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Brazilian-American who was raised bilingual and bicultural in both Brazil and the U.S., I love working with people from different countries and cultures. Given my background, I have a deeper understanding of cross-cultural issues. My fluency in English and Portuguese, as well as working knowledge of Spanish, enables me to connect with you and your family in a way that relieves the stress of language barriers.
