About My Clients
I provide supportive care for people new to therapy, those ready to go deeper in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and nervous-system approaches like Polyvagal Theory and Internal Family Systems, and individuals who learned that people-pleasing is a survival strategy rather than a personal flaw. Therapy isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we focus on building internal safety, strengthening boundaries, processing grief and trauma, and supporting balanced and authentic relationships.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with individuals who learned early on to prioritize others' needs in order to maintain safety, connection, or stability. Many of the client's I support are highly empathetic, insightful, and capable, yet exhausted, resentful, or disconnected from themselves due to long-standing patterns of over-functioning, conflict avoidance, feeling responsible for others' emotions, or childhood and adult trauma. In my work, I provide trauma-informed, person-centered therapy and integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and nervous-system-informed interventions (including Polyvagal Theory). Together, we go at a pace that feels collaborative and respectful to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community and am a person of color myself. I currently work with a non-profit called "Striking Against Mental Health" to help raise funds for those struggling to afford mental health services through monthly and bi-monthly tournaments. I continue, rather it be through my work or my personal life, to be included as possible as well as to be respectful and kind.
