My Background and Approach
Mariah’s focus in the therapeutic space is to provide a comfortable environment to grow and explore together through visual art, movement, music, writing, drama, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, or traditional talk therapy. She has experience working with clients of all ages starting at young at 5 years old and places specific emphasis on the importance of self-care and communication skills. Mariah currently works with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and adults in areas of anxiety management, depression management, coping with transitions, and identity development. She believes that therapy is a process that requires an open mind, a willingness to learn from each other, and the intention to grow. She can assist with developing a mind-body connection through emotional literacy and mindfulness practices. Background includes therapeutic after school programming, inpatient, day treatment, and partial hospitalization.
