About My Clients

My work focuses on supporting adults of all ages to find meaning amidst the intersection of gender, sexuality, race, culture, and spirituality. My experience includes a deep commitment to working with queer and trans folks and the LGBTQIA+ community. I work with adults exploring gender, sexuality, desire and pleasure related concerns, and with folks in nonmonogamous relationships, and with folks who are experiencing symptoms of trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar and life transition challenges.

My Background and Approach

My practice is grounded in narrative, somatic, and art therapy. This means I believe problems are problems, you are not a problem. I believe we create meaning in our lives through the stories we tell about ourselves and our experiences. Together we’ll use the creative process of psychotherapy to develop new relationships with your problems and to enrich the stories of desire and hope that have brought you to therapy. We will create space for the expansiveness of your feelings and experiences, using somatic and art therapy, and mindfulness practices along the way to deepen your relationship with your mind, body, and spirit. Your whole self is welcome here. I am a Registered Art Therapist, an LPCC and board approved clinical supervisor licensed by the state of MN, and hold an MA in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. *I do not accept insurance and can offer a superbill for utilizing your out of network insurance benefits. I accept Lyra Health EAP.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a white, queer, ciswoman from the Midwest; an artist and therapist passionate about all things process. In both my art practice and my work as a collaborator in therapy I believe that creativity, curiosity, and imagining ourselves into the world and lives we want is essential. My life and work is oriented from a trauma informed, intersectional feminist, anti-racist, liberation for all perspective and I am a HAES, fat liberation oriented therapist. It is important to me to always be curious and learning, in particular about my own white privilege and my own self-care work to address my biases. I fiercely support efforts to dismantle patriarchy and white supremacy and the building of a liberation oriented, anti-oppressive, decolonized world. My work is sex-positive! I believe desire, pleasure and joy are essential, necessary parts of life and I welcome you to bring sexuality and desire exploration into our work together.
