About My Clients
My clients seek growth and balance during life transitions or in response to stress, anxiety, or emotional challenges. They value a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore their mental health. I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, chronic medical diagnosis, ADHD, financial stress, or career shifts, helping them build emotional resilience, self-awareness, and clarity. Together, we cultivate the tools needed for lasting personal growth and well-being.
My Background and Approach
With years of experience as a licensed therapist, a medical social worker, and lived ADHD experience, I specialize in supporting individuals through life transitions, anxiety, and emotional challenges. Whether facing stress, depression, ADHD, or relationship issues, I utilize a holistic, integrative approach that blends evidence-based therapies with a deep understanding of each client's unique story. In my practice, I prioritize creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard and supported. My approach is collaborative, focusing on empowering clients to identify their strengths and develop tools for personal growth. With the ability to see clients locally (In-Person & Walk & Talk Therapy) OR through phone and video, accessing therapy is as simple as going to my website (www.korufinancialtherapy.com) and clicking Contact Mariah to set up your free, no-obligation 20-minute phone consultation today.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the power of human resilience. Even in moments of overwhelming stress, anxiety, or uncertainty, I trust that with the right tools and insights, we can find clarity, regain balance, and move toward a more fulfilling life. I honor the uniqueness of each person’s journey, recognizing that everyone progresses at their own pace and faces their own set of challenges and strengths. My values include independence, community, and connection. I am a dedicated ally to the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities and those seeking greater control over their finances. In addition to my therapeutic practice, I bring extensive experience in crisis intervention. On non-clinical days, I serve as part of the Sacramento area Critical Incident Response Team, providing immediate support in times of crisis.
