About My Clients
Children and teens don’t always have the words to express what they’re feeling—but their bodies do. Anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and trauma can leave them feeling overwhelmed and stuck in survival mode. I work with young people to help them feel safe, understand their emotions, and build coping skills using compassionate, trauma-informed approaches that foster resilience, confidence, and hope.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor (LPCC-S) and Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional with over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and their families. I specialize in helping young people navigate anxiety, depression, emotional and behavioral challenges, trauma histories, developmental differences (including Autism), and shifting family dynamics. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Play Therapy, and Art Therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. I aim to create a safe, compassionate space where children and adolescents can build emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy coping skills while working toward meaningful, lasting growth. I am committed to collaboration with caregivers and offering clinical supervision to clinicians pursuing independent licensure.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work is grounded in the belief that every child and teen deserves to feel safe, understood, and accepted for who they are. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens, recognizing how past experiences, identity, family systems, and environment shape emotional well-being. I am committed to creating an affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ youth and families, where identity is respected and celebrated. I believe healing happens through connection, compassion, and collaboration, and I partner closely with caregivers to support lasting growth.
