About My Clients
When your child is having challenges, it is daunting. As a child therapist, my goal is to be helpful, in whatever way works best for you and your child. Together, we can better understand and create a space for working through the challenges. My name is Maria and I am an experienced child therapist working with children and adolescents ages 4 to 22. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I have 12 years experience working with children, adolescents and families. My approach is client centered looking to offer the client an experience of mastery and personal agency. I am experienced in using play and sand tray modalities, as needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe with a safe therapeutic space children and adolescents can work through challenges and learn more adaptive coping skills.
