About My Clients
I help clients explore themes such as perfectionism, shame, intergenerational trauma, cultural identity, and self-worth, often through a lens that honors both their individuality and cultural context. I enjoy working with those who are beginning to question old patterns, whether shaped by culture, trauma, or survival, and want to build a more authentic relationship with themselves.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience supporting QTBIPOC folks navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I aim to create a space where you can slow down, make sense of your experiences, and begin to feel more at home within yourself. My goal is to help you build lasting tools for self-compassion, emotional regulation, and deeper connection with others. In our work together, we'll explore your whole system and what defines your unique identity, encompassing both your inner and outer experiences. Using an attachment-based, psychodynamic and intersectional lens, I provide a guiding presence to help restore trust and safety in the relationship with yourself and those around you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer child of Vietnamese immigrants, I deeply understand the complexity of holding multiple intersecting identities. I am committed to creating an affirming, anti-oppressive space for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals, one where your authenticity is honored and your experiences are seen. I am passionate about exploring the ways systemic oppression and marginalization impact mental health. My path to becoming a therapist began with navigating my own mental health journey as an adolescent, a time when I often felt isolated and misunderstood. This personal experience inspired me to dedicate my work to creating spaces of safety, understanding, and healing for others.
