Working with parents is a special interest of mine. I can work with parents only, and I offer family therapy to families with teen children which is a combination of family and parent-only sessions. Through family and parent sessions, I have witnessed families create closer bonds and find ways to manage conflict in their homes.

When treating anxiety, I use tools that range from cognitive-behavioral approaches to nonverbal expression that systemically address the source of client anxiety. Clients can expect a blend of education about anxiety in the body and brain, and actions that they can take in their everyday life to manage their anxiety.

I have personal and professional experience in working with ADHD in women. I strive to collaborate with clients to express their unique experience of ADHD and identify an appropriate balance of self-acceptance, accommodation, and areas for growth. This applies to all aspects of client's lives, including how ADHD shows up in client's personal life, relationships, and in their professional life.

I have experience with family therapy for families with teens and young adults. I focus on family development and life transitions, including the transition of having young children to teens, and the transition of teens to young adults navigating living in their parent's home. I have also worked with family clients on managing intergenerational living, parent coaching, and conflict management.

I use elements of CBT primarily when working with individuals experiencing anxiety. I work with the "cognitive triangle" to illustrate patterns for clients and provide a bridge to managing anxious thoughts and feelings.

Family systems are central to my approach, whether I am working with an individual or a family. With clients I explore their family-of-origin and its impacts on clients and families, and I conduct therapeutic activities that guide how clients wish to show up with their families and in relationships.
