About My Clients
I'm passionate about helping others heal hurts and flourish in who they are. Whether you have serious mental health concerns, are going through big transitions and stress, or just feel stuck in a rut, you are not alone. If you are tired of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, avoidance, poor boundaries/people pleasing, and poor executive functioning and AHDD symptoms hindering your life, you're not alone.
My Background and Approach
My approach is hopeful and based in a variety of therapeutic frameworks that translate to real life applications that are tailored for each person. I give special attention to HOW you think which influences how you feel and act, as well as your relationship with your self and others. My knowledge of ADHD helps people work with their brain and it's needs. I help people address trauma wounds, build healthy relationships, and work with their unique set of challenges. My therapeutic approach is informed from REBT (similar to CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, ACT and the impact of nutrition on our mental health. I also have received some training in IFS which I have found very useful for helping clients move out of just thinking and into experiencing which can be transformative.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
With experience working in cross-cultural settings, I welcome people from all different backgrounds and religious belief systems and welcome each person to explore these facets of their lives from a strengths-based and non-judgmental perspective. Culture and spirituality can be a really big part of peoples lives and sometimes difficult to talk about, but they should not be ignored. I am a Christian and have navigated (and still do) a long journey of detangling what has become Christian traditions versus a life of following Jesus' teaching through faith and action. I look forward to working with new individuals of any age, wherever they are in their journey.
