About My Clients
My therapy focus is maternal mental health and those who have experienced trauma. Being a mom comes with a lot of demands and struggles of trying to balance the needs of yourself and your family. If you are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, anxious, or sad - I am here to journey with you. As a trauma professional I have training in Brainspotting and other trauma approaches to support you on your healing journey through trauma.
My Background and Approach
I believe the best way to gain understanding, balance, and harmony is to address the whole person (social, work, spirituality, and self). I am Adlerian at heart and I strive to individualize each client’s therapy to best suit their needs and personality style, whether that is problem solving or more in depth analysis. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance therapy, and others to provide you with insight and tools to take with you outside of the session. I also love being able to bring the creative arts into the session! In the trauma world I have training in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, polyvagul theory, neursequential model of therapeutics, and Brainspotting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are all capable of change at any point in our life. We are never broken just bending and shifting. I also believe there are no bad parts - those "unhealthy" things you do serve a purpose and I hope together we can find new ways to get your needs met! I am also a working mom and understand all too well the demands and mental load of trying to keep everything and everyone in balance! In my spare time you can find me outside with my family - camping, chasing waterfalls, kayaking, or hiking! I can't wait to meet you!
