About My Clients
I have seen a variety of clients from different backgrounds and presenting problems. I have the most experience working with clients with Depression, Anxiety, coping with life changes, Bipolar disorder, and clients who are struggling with inter-generational issues. I am also multi-culturally competent and an LGBTQ+ ally. I have worked with a number of clients who are 1st/2nd generation Americans or immigrants, struggling with issues related to settling in a new country.
My Background and Approach
My therapy approach includes a general humanistic approach of empathy and compassion. Depending on what you're dealing with, we can use a variety of techniques including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, or Motivational Interviewing to approach them. I also use a fair amount of Socratic questioning in session if needed. I will do my best to tailor a treatment plan to your needs and personality. I have helped individuals work through life changes, career problems, chronic self-harm, etc. I believe that anyone who reaches out deserves dignity, respect, and empathy. I'm excited to work with you!
