About My Clients
I offer therapy for children (ages 3+), adolescents, individuals, couples, and families facing emotional and relational challenges. I use Child-Centered Play Therapy to help young children express feelings and build coping skills. For teens and adults, I address anxiety, self-esteem, identity, and relationship struggles. I also support couples and families in improving communication and connection. My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and focused on empowering every client.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Colorado, holding an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University. Over the past three years, I’ve supported families, children, and teens, which has given me deep insight into developmental milestones, school struggles, and family dynamics. I’m trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy, which enables younger clients to express themselves naturally through play. I also integrate Trauma-Informed Care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, allowing adolescents to learn practical tools for managing anxiety, mood shifts, and stress. My background in family systems work means parents and caregivers walk away feeling more confident in setting boundaries, fostering connection, and reinforcing positive behaviors at home. Every credential and specialty I bring directly benefits clients by creating a safe and tailored path toward greater understanding, resilience, and well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Latina therapist, I deeply value representation, inclusion, and cultural humility. I believe mental health care should be accessible, affirming, and reflective of the diverse communities we serve. I’m passionate about supporting BIPOC youth and families, and I strive to create a space where cultural identity is honored and integrated into the healing process. I’m also a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ youth, providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where identity can be explored and affirmed. My goal is to help young people feel empowered, accepted, and supported exactly as they are. I’m committed to reducing stigma, promoting mental health awareness, and staying connected to community efforts that uplift immigrant families, LGBTQ+ youth, and underrepresented voices. My work is rooted in empathy, social justice, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen and valued.
