About My Clients

People come to me when they’re tired of holding everything together alone. My clients are students, professionals, and multicultural adults who look “fine” on the outside but feel overwhelmed inside. They’re thoughtful, capable people stuck in patterns they can’t think their way out of, longing for a space to slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with themselves.

My Background and Approach

Anxiety and stress often come with a running commentary about how you “should” be coping better, as if everyone else has life figured out except you. But what feels like a personal failing is usually a sign that you’ve outgrown old ways of managing hard things. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by school or work, stuck in what‑ifs, or navigating a transition that feels more destabilizing than expected. Therapy gives you space to slow down and understand what’s happening beneath the surface—the beliefs you’ve absorbed, the pressure you carry, the emotions you’ve been trying to outrun. Together, we look at what’s getting in the way and build steadier, more compassionate ways of responding to stress. I draw from evidence‑based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT‑informed skills, mindfulness‑based therapies, Motivational Interviewing, ERP, CPT, neuropsychology, and culturally responsive, person‑centered care—always tailoring the work to who you are and what you need.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m someone who’s always been drawn to the stories people carry — the ones they share openly and the ones they’ve learned to hold quietly. That’s part of why I care so deeply about the experiences of immigrants and international students. Migration isn’t just a change in geography; it’s a shift in identity, belonging, and the invisible emotional labor of building a life in a new place. I’m committed to honoring those complexities with care, nuance, and respect. My values lean toward creating spaces where people feel seen in the fullness of who they are — their histories, their cultures, their hopes, and the parts of themselves they’ve tucked away to adapt. I support movements that center dignity, equity, and mental health access, including immigrant rights, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and racial justice. Outside of therapy, creativity is a grounding force for me — noticing small moments of beauty that help give shape to feelings that don’t yet have yet a language.
